This Yellow Honey processed Costa Rican coffee comes from the canton of Tarrazu, a region with a reputation for producing some of the best coffees in this tropical climate. We’re loving the nutty notes and creamy body in this cup. In the aromatics we’re catching some nice lemon zest that make this a tasty cup even for the black coffee drinker.
White honey coffees are dried with very little "fruit stuff" left on the bean. Yellow honey coffees have a little more, followed by gold honey and red honey, with black honey having the most “fruit stuff” left on during the drying process. These different ranges can make the same beans taste drastically different — Cool!
The Montero family has been involved in this farm for over three generations. Today, the entire Montero family is deeply involved in the Medina Farm.
